floops_amnosI went to English Bay to watch the fireworks with some people last night. The weather wasn't very exceptional but at least it didn't rain.
** I don't know how Photobucket resizes my pictures so some may be small and some big. Sorry to all you dail-uppers ^^;;
My boyfriend and some other friends and I took the bus and got to downtown at 5. It took half an hour to walk from one end of downtown to the other end (English Bay). It wasn't so bad...the sun was partly shining. Ahh..how I miss window shopping on Robson...
I dropped into Konbini-ya to buy my dinner to eat on the beach while waiting for the show to start at night. I bought 3 onigiris XD. Hey, I gotta save up some money so yeah I can only afford onigiri. As I was waiting for the cashier (named Keita btw since I saw his nametag XDD), this (Japanese) obachan came up to me, pointed at my onigiris and spoke to me in Japanese. LOL Obviously I had no idea what she was saying so I just nodded and smiled and went "Uh huh...". Then Keita the cashier boy told me the amount I needed to pay in Japanese as well. I kind of stared at him blankly and then peered at the computer screen to see the amount ^^;; Oh well...Nice to know that I look like I know Japanese though.
A partly sunny/cloudy day at the beach.
Haha...is this the first time I've posted a picture of myself? Great, not a very a good pic but whatever. Just to show you this is one of the times where the sun peeked out during the cloudy day.
Ok, a semi-better picture. I like biting my lip =P
We played mahjong cards to pass the time XDD I won twice!! (But ugh, please to ignore my ugly thumb)
Even though it was cloudy, this scene was very pretty. So "heavenly"...
And ALKJ::GSKJADLA:S I finally got to try/play Taiko no Tatsujin!!!! After all the times I've read about people playing it, I get to try it myself!! Didn't play it with the actual drums but nonetheless it was still fun.
I kind of want to buy a PSP just so I can play this game. Those aren't my thumbs btw.
And here be the pictures of the fireworks I took. I don't know why my camera turns crappy when I try to take them so these are the creme de la creme of the slew of fireworks pics I took.
The whole show was split into different parts with a specific colour theme. First blue-purple, then reds, then green, and then gold (but LOL don't count on my words because my memory may be wonky). The beginning was kind of boring but of course the ending was very golden and spectacular. It was not bad but I think Italy's show last Wednesday was probably better even though I didn't go see it. I hope I'll get to go again next Saturday for Mexico's show and the finale :D
