Red Sun, Black Sand pics
Apr. 12th, 2006 11:37 pmMy boyfriend passed me on a site and I found some pics of the movie set for Red Sun, Black Sand that someone had taken while doing a driving excursion on the mountains of California. It seems like the real deal to me but you can see them for yourself: http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80590
Speaking of pics, on Tuesday I had some delicious ramen at Kintaro's on Denman.
As authentic ramen is hard to come by here (I've only tried "ramen" at Chinese cafes/restaurants), I was quite satisfied XD No wonder there's always line-ups for this place. I like how you can choose the degree of richness for the soup (rich, medium, or light) and you can pick fatty or lean pork for the topping. Even though it was really good, I still prefer the soup used for Vietnamese noodles. THAT beef broth/soup is really good to the last drop XDD
And, I finally tried out the new-style packaging for combini onigiri :D Ok, don't know if it's a new innovation, but damn that's ingenius.
Is it too hard to see the instructions? Basically there's just a piece of plastic that separates the seaweed from the rice and you peel off the plastic to assemble the onigiri together without getting your hands dirty. Dammit, if the sushi place on campus sold this, I would be so joyous. It's 5 cents more than a bag of vending machine chips, but it's probably healthier. Then again, this may just be a novelty for me. I'll get sick of it if I eat it everyday XD
Now if I can only stop snacking and start working on my CMNS-304 take home final exam questions...
